I've just moved into a flat and we got a patchy freeview reception.

Needing to run another aerial cable into the house, i looked in the loft and the patchy signal was isolated to the aerial cable being joined by a twist with a pair of pliers!

I managed to fix this by putting two property connecters to join the cable correctly, we now get a perfect digital signal.
