The easiest option for you is to phone the number on the back of your Sky viewing card, just explain that you would like to take a subscription package and they should arrange that for you quite quickly.

The channels in question are part of the entertainment package and Sky have no intentions to change that. Those channels would never go Premium!

It would seem you saw an advert which was generic across the Flextech/UKTV & Free channels which was saying “you can subscribe to these extra channels for only £1 per month”.

It seems this advert would be aimed at people who don’t have those channels, but was run across all the channels.

I was watching Discovery Real time yesterday when at the end of the programme a notice came up on screen saying that Sky Customers would have to pay a £1 per month extra to have that channel, this seems to apply to Living TV, Challenge, Home and Health, UKGold, UK Style, UK Food etc. As far as I am aware no notification was ever received about this. I do think that is a bit underhand to do things like that!!! Those channels have been part of my Entertainment Package since I purchased it!! Why did you not let your customers know?

Its a shame you need to pay for BT line as well. It would be nice to get a Sky broadband without paying additional Â£10 for a phone
