Setanta Sports and Freeview CAM’s
Starting in August 2007, Setanta Tv will be transmitting46 Premiership football matches, 60 SPL (Scottish Premier League) matches & other top sporting events all receivable in digital Tv through your Tv aerial, Sky Digital and Virgin Media Cable Tv. The cost of the service is £9.99 monthly and Setanta will be on channel 34 on Freeview.
At the moment Freeview users need to use a Top Up Tv Anytime Box, a Freeview Box with a card slot or an Integrated Digital Tv (IDTV) with a Conditional Access Module Slot.
The conditional access module required is the Top Up Tv CAM which runs the Seca Mediaguard encryption or an Aston CAM which is hard to get hold of and quite pricey. Top Up Tv CAMs were withdrawn at the end of 2006 when Top Up launched their anytime service and this has left a huge shortage of Freeview Tv CAMs for Setanta Sports. Most people with IDTV’s who don’t want to use a separate Freeview box are waiting until the CAM is available on general sale or sourcing a second hand one via E-Bay.
Good news for the IDTV viewer as the Setanta CAM is now on general sale.
Setanta Sports CAM now available online.

RE: mr m jeffery; There are two options. 1, if you’re not going to be viewing both tv’s at once you can move the card from TV to TV. 2, a second subscription from Setanta.
