I was wondering if a friend whois new to sky could receive sky+ even though they do not have an active landline(they have the sockets in the house) and if there would be any free offers of installation and/or offers for myself for introducing them to sky.
Also I have another friend who has not been with sky for the past 5 years, since the old big dishes were no longer able to be used, would this friend be classed as a new customer to sky digital.
    Thank you

    RE Sharon:

I’ll answer these in reverse for you.

Firstly your friend who hasn’t been a customer since the “big old dishes” and I presume you mean analogue satellite from Sky, then yes she would be classed as a new Sky customer in Sky’s eyes.

Secondly Sky’s terms with the online sign-up’s at the advertised prices, with regards to phone connections, require the Sky digi-box to be connected to an active/working telephone land-line for a minimum period of 12 months. There may be a way around this if you were to phone Sky customer services (number at their website) and discuss this in person.

Just to note that all new Sky customers signing up before 30th June 2008 taking either Movies and/or Sports mixes will receive a £15 credit to their account, effectively halving the installation cost to £15.

Got something to say?
